I was never interested in playing.
I FOUND PLAYING BORING, BUT I WANTED TO CREATE SPACES FOR OTHERS TO PLAY IN.
I built spaces instead.
For my brothers, my rabbit, my friends.
DUPLO bricks, vehicles, my room, other people’s rooms, the garden shack, my parents’ loft.
Rearranging, testing, creating something new from whatever was available.
When others started playing, I moved on.
Looking back, this has always been my way of moving through the world. I don’t settle until something feels right.
I LATER STUDIED ARCHITECTURE AND WORKED WITH IT FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS.
My background includes concept development, planning and project coordination across housing and commercial projects.
I realised I was less interested in fixed solutions, and more in what happens when you keep exploring.
I CAN SPEND HOURS ADJUSTING ONE IMAGE.
Moving elements, testing light, changing proportions.
What looks simple is often the result of many iterations.
I don’t look for the right answer immediately.
I find it through the process.
Just as I do when I work with my hands, painting, building.
I don’t only see space, I need to experience it.
Moving through it, adjusting it, testing it with my body.
It’s how I process, focus, and find clarity.
NATURE HAS BECOME AN IMPORTANT PART OF HOW I SEE.
Light, textures, shifting atmospheres.
I explore it with all my senses.
This also led me to study aromatherapy, deepening my awareness of how scent influences how we feel and experience a space.
OVER TIME, I STARTED TO RECOGNISE A PATTERN.
I was never interested in being the one playing,
but in shaping the conditions around it.
That’s still how I approach my work today.
Intuitive in how I explore, structured in how I bring it together.
I work with what already exists.
Rearranging, refining, adjusting relationships between elements, until what’s already there becomes clear, and feels true.
Small shifts can change how something is experienced and how it feels.
I’m German, based in Oslo.
Moving between places has shaped how I see, always observing, questioning, adjusting.
IF SOMETHING FEELS OFF,
BUT YOU CAN’T QUITE PLACE IT,
IT’S PROBABLY TRUE,
AND I MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP YOU.
